I moved to Springfield in 1994, and met Jim sometime in that first year of working here. I remember my first deposition with him as vividly as I remember my last deposition with him and most of them in between. I remember his easy smile, how comfortable he made everyone feel, and how respectful he was. I remember his quick wit, and how I smiled afterwards thinking of how funny he was. Yes, Jim was a great attorney, and as a court reporter, someone that I always enjoyed working with, but it’s how he made me feel personally that I will miss the most.
