Lilly Corbett

My hero, best friend, sushi date buddy, and everything else. There are no words to describe my dad, Jim Corbett. Except for the fact that he was an extraordinary man. The love he showed towards everyone really opened up my eyes to what the world should be. I remember one evening it was about 20 degrees outside and the wind was blowing what seemed like 100 miles an hour. It was me mom and dad, and we were leaving Pacific Kitchen. As we were pulling out from dinner my dad noticed this couple sitting on the curb, he told my mom that he was gonna turn around and give them some money for food and a place to stay. My dad proceeded to turn around, get out of the car and go up and talk to them. In that very moment, I realize that my dad is the greatest dad a girl could have. The love he showed towards the strangers, opened my eyes. It made me realize that everyone deserves that kind of kindness.
Nothing breaks my heart more than to see him not here with me today and my family, but it makes me realize that I should be grateful for all the wonderful memories we shared together.

I love him more than anyone will ever know, and there won’t be a day that goes by when I won’t think about him.

Your dad would be so proud of you, Lilly! I’m so proud to know you! Jenny and I and the boys are praying for you and your family during this difficult time.
